Covid-19 Update

29th March 2021

Great News! Following Government guidelines, Club members are able to resume singles and doubles social play, maximum 6 people per court. At this time the Covid specific membership packages will continue. They are both Direct Debit so that in the event we have to shut down again future the payments will be able to be stopped.

  • Adult membership will be £10.00 per month and will enable you to play singles with another member of the club.
  • Covid Household membership will be £20.00 per month for all members of a household, including juniors.
  • There will be no individual junior membership until coaching resumes and existing junior members are welcome to play with other junior members but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Non-members are unable to play at this time but for anyone who is interested membership please direct them to our membership page on this website.

 Additionally

  • The courts are open for your use, outside of club sessions and booked coaching.  Please book ALL court usage via ClubSpark. We need to know who has been on the courts for tracking purposes.
  • The club will provide balls for club sessions, but for individually organised play please bring your own marked balls.
  • There will be no access to the clubhouse except for toilets and floodlights so you need to bring your own drinks etc.
  • Please remember to use the provided sanitiser before and after play, and follow any other Covid related signage instructions
  • One to one and group coaching can resume including Juniors, Rusty Racquets and Wimbledon Wanabees.
  • Committee members will frequently monitor the club to ensure guidelines are being followed, if we feel this is not happening, we are prepared to take the decision to close the courts again.

Members Social Tennis Schedule

We are allowed up to 6 people per court on an organised club session, so this limits the number of people that can attend a club session to 12.  We will run with the use of a phone group contact on a first reply, first come basis, so if you are wanting to get involved in the club sessions then please contact the club to ensure you are added to the right groups. You can just turn up if there is space.

If you are a new member and would like a helping hand in joining in the social tennis sessions, please contact a committee member and we will take care of you.

The following are sessions for full members include:

  • Tuesday Nights (after Cardio) 8pm to 10pm
  • Thursday Nights 7pm to 10pm
  • Saturday Ladies 11am to 1pm
  • Saturday Mens 4pm to 6pm

Please contact the club coaches Marc Squire and Callum Forsythe directly for coaching information and [email protected] for general enquiries.

We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy your tennis!

League Results will be updated once play resumes

Club Tournaments will resume when possible

As a Charitable Organisation your tennis club is registered with EasyFundRaising, and we would like to ask members to register with the savings and donations site.

EasyFundRaising gives those who register special discounts and offers, as well as generating small rebates for the Tennis club when registered members purchase from the suppliers listed on the fund raising site.

This costs Members nothing, and the offers and discounts are pretty good. You can even download a widget that highlights when you are shopping / browsing online and there is an offer on the goods or supplier that you are looking at. The link is below, we'd really encourage you to have a look at the offers available.
